About LikeMinds
Most of test prep is teaching the wrong subject. We’re teaching the right one.
We built LikeMinds around one idea: the SAT is not a math test or an English test. It’s its own subject, and nobody teaches it that way.
We spent years tutoring students one on one. The students who struggled weren’t behind in school; some were among the sharpest kids we worked with. They struggled because they were studying algebra and grammar when they should have been studying the test: its patterns, its traps, and the specific ways it likes to ask a question.
Most test prep never makes that distinction. They sell bigger question banks and more content, as if the SAT rewards volume over precision.
We built our approach around precision. Find where a student breaks, teach that specific pattern until it’s automatic, then move on. But what happens when that methodology isn’t limited to two tutors and the hours in a week?
That question became Athena.
We’re building the platform that teaches the SAT for what it really is, and we intend to set the standard in the world of test prep.
